OK, this is something I've thought about for ages, so thought I'd finally post it here. What about a shop where you can buy things for your points?

What type of things would you want to buy? Obviously, you could not purchase physical things, as Zone points have no monitary value. I think as the Zone Virtual World grows, Zone points could be used in this environment. Maybe a million points would buy you a three room house and ten million would buy a five room house or something like that.
Points are so easy to get though, that we'd be giving things away right and left. and then, eventually, what would be the point of premium memberships, when you could get many of those features with points? We've talked this kind of thing over as staff before, but have never found a good way to implement it.
I think being able to use your points in the virtual world is a great idea. You can buy objects, room, hire other Zoners to build with you, create virtual people, buy houses, buy cars... I don't know...
Hmmm. I can pass this one on to the rest of the staff, see what they think of it. Sounds like we'd kind of be turning the Zone into like a PsyPets or something. LOL.

I agree with post 3. I really don't see what the point of this whole thing would be, as points have no monetary value. They're just here for fun.
I think if this idea were to be successful, we'd have to go back to the usable and total points system.
If you're premium, you can sort of do this sort of thing in Alternate Universe, although I haven't seen anybody playing that game in ages.
While I think this might be a good idea, I agree with alicia on this one. The only way I can really see anything like this being implemented is via the Alternate Universe game and even then i'm not 100 % sure how that would work.
I think it would be a cool idea!!!!! But like Alicia said, it's pretty easy to get points...
Yeah. There are already quite a few people with over a billion, and plenty with over a million, and just over a week ago, we all had a thousand.
